This course is aimed at complete beginners who have little or no experience of computers and are a little frightened by them.  This is a confidence giving and hands on course with lots of useful tips, taught by a reassuring professional.  No question is considered silly, so come along and conquer those fears. 

You will be shown how to turn a computer on, mouse and keyboard control, what you find when you get to the desktop, how to set up a basic document in Word 2007 and a few simple features; how to save a file and set up a folder; you will have a presentation on the internet, although this is dealt with in detail on the Internet course. You will also have a basic look at trouble-shooting.

This is a well structured beginners’ course with ‘hands on’ exercises and handouts to go home with.  You will be ready to join the Microsoft Word or Internet course having completed this course and be confident using your computer.
