Essential Skills - Microsoft Office 2007 Basic Word

Description

This course is designed for those who wish to gain a basic understanding of Microsoft Word using Office 2007. It will benefit beginners who wish to create simple, yet professional looking documents. Students do not need any previous experience of Word but must have a basic understanding of computers, including familiarity with a keyboard and mouse.

 

On completion of this fun course, students will be able to create documents as well as insert, edit, format and proof read text. You will also be able to print documents and save files efficiently for later use.  Other features cover include paragraph formatting and creating tables, working with tabs and indents, mail-merge, inserting columns, wordart, clipart and images, plus many other features. This course will be taken by Wayne Boardman, an experienced I.T. tutor. Max. 14 students. There will be no session during Royal Ascot week on Wednesday 18th June.

 

It is recommended that students will have attended the ‘Learn how to use the computer’ course. This is useful software for students wishing to return to work or to enhance computer skills for personal use.

Description

This course is designed for those students who wish to acquire the basic skills to use Microsoft Excel 2007 effectively. It would benefit anyone wishing to learn the basics of creating spreadsheets. This is useful software for students wishing to return to work or to enhance computer skills for personal use.

 

Students do not need any previous experience of Excel but must have a basic understanding of computers, including familiarity with a keyboard and mouse. It is recommended that students will have attended the ‘Learn how to use the computer’ course or ‘Word’ course but not essential.

 

This course will enable students to create a spreadsheet, format text and numbers, perform basic calculations and functions, print spreadsheets, work with multiple sheets, create graphs and charts. This course will be taken by Wayne Boardman, an experienced I.T. tutor. Max. 14 students. There will be no session on the bank holidays, 5th and 26th May.
